GYROTONIC® Exercise Group Classes

GYROTONIC® exercise is practiced by people from all walks of life including elite athletes and dancers, yoga practitioners, people rehabilitating from spinal or muscular injuries, seniors and people with disabilities.

A single session can relieve muscle tension and fatigue and leave you feeling invigorated and more aware of your entire body. After a few weeks of training, you will feel increased strength and flexibility, renewed energy and a general sense of calm and well being.

We offer three levels of GYROTONIC® exercise group classes: beginner, intermediate, and open-level.  Individuals new to the GYROTONIC® Method are strongly encouraged to take 1 to 3 privates before registering for a group class, and should only register for the Beginner class.  Once you have established an understanding of the basic movements and can independently set up the pulley towers you may transition into the Open-Level class.

GYROKINESIS® Exercise Group Classes

GYROKINESIS® exercise is an ever-evolving intelligent movement system.  The class format generates spinal suppleness, core pelvic strength, and overall mobility through multiple-joint articulation. The movements in GYROKINESIS® are circular and rhythmic in order to create healthy joints. Emphasis on breath, energetic alignment, and connection within a choreographed set of exercises lead to a sense of well-being after each class.

Our 90-minute group class incorporates stretching, seated work, floor work, and standing exercises. All levels and abilities welcome.

Pilates Mat

Pilates mat class involves a series of pilates exercises performed on a mat without equipment. Each exercise emphasizes breath, core conditioning, and body awareness. Instructors will pay special attention to alignment and form. Props including foam rollers, therabands and the pilates ring may be used to add challenge or assistance.

Whether you are a beginner or expert this mat workout will strengthen the core, tone the hips and thighs and flatten the abs while opening joints to release tension and to ease chronic pain.

Pilates group mat class meets Saturday mornings @ 9am, Tuesdays and Thurdays @ 6pm.  Purchase a class package to enjoy classes as low as $15 per class, or purchase a single class for $19.

Yoga

Yoga class is Wednesdays at 12:30 with Yoga teacher and physical Therapist, Michele Fry.  Michele specializes in various yoga modalities including therapeutic and restorative yoga, yoga for hypermobility, yoga for pelvic floor, and others. She also holds 2 hour restorative workshops about 4 times a year.
